Getting started and expiry
Do I need to sign up for a temporary email?
No. When you open the homepage, the system generates a random address and a token accessible only from your current browser. Copy the address and stay on the page while you wait for the email.
How long does the address last?
It’s valid for 3 hours by default. You can extend it, but its total lifetime is limited to 24 hours from creation. Once the countdown reaches zero, don’t use it for signing in or recovering an account.
What happens when I change the address?
A new address is generated, and the old address is no longer your active inbox. If you’re still waiting for a code sent to the old address, don’t switch too soon, and make sure the target website has saved the latest address.
Email, verification codes, and attachments
Can a temporary email address receive verification codes?
Yes. It can receive most standard verification codes, confirmation links, and notifications. Messages may not arrive if the sender blocks temporary domains, delivery is delayed in a queue, or anti-spam policies stop them.
How long does it usually take?
There’s no fixed wait time. Wait 2–5 minutes first, then check the address and sending status; if it still hasn’t arrived after 10 minutes, use Inbox diagnostics. Repeated clicks may invalidate the old code.
Why can’t I see the attachment?
Temporary inboxes don’t retain attachments, and messages larger than 100 MB are rejected. For contracts, receipts, or large files, use permanent forwarding or a long-term mailbox.
Can I send email?
No. TempGet only receives and forwards email; it does not support replies, bulk sending, or SMTP sending.
Anonymity and security
Does an anonymous email mean complete anonymity?
No. It only reduces the need to expose your real email address to the target website. It does not hide your IP address, payment details, browser fingerprint, or information you enter yourself.
Can someone else see my inbox?
Anyone with a valid access token may be able to access the associated inbox, so don’t share site data or tokens. On a public device, clear the site data when you’re done—but this will also remove access from that device.
Is it suitable for banking or primary social media accounts?
No. Accounts that may later require password resets, billing information, or proof of ownership should use an email address you control long term or a permanent forwarding alias.
Permanent forwarding aliases
How do I sign in to forwarding mode?
Enter your real email address and sign in with the 6-digit verification code you receive. Signing in also creates your account, with no password required. Resending is subject to a 60-second cooldown, and sessions last up to 7 days.
How many aliases can I create?
Up to 100 per account. We recommend using one alias per service so you can identify the source of a leak and pause aliases individually.
How long are email records retained?
For the most recent 30 days. Messages up to 50 MB are forwarded with their attachments retained; messages from 50–100 MB are forwarded but archived without attachments; messages over 100 MB are rejected.
